Anyone young or old, male or female, beginner or pro can learn Muay Thai boxing at a Muay Thai Training Camp in southern Thailand or anywhere else in the world. A Muay Thai Training Camp provides everyone with an excellent workout and focuses on teaching individuals and perfecting the proper Muay Thai techniques. This is done through a process of fitness and conditions in preparation for competition. At a Muay Thai Training Camp all boxers train together and novice boxers often train alongside champion Muay Thai boxers in the spirit of cooperation and friendship. When you choose to learn Muay Thai you automatically become a member of the extended Muay Thai family.

Most of the Muay Thai Training Camps are designed to be friendly and informal. When students are ready they are introduced to new Muay Thai techniques. The full line of Muay Thai techniques are taught through shadow boxing and working with bags. You are taught not to ignore the Muay Thai techniques you find difficult. Either in the morning or afternoon you are encouraged to run at least once a day.

Your afternoon session is often similar to the morning session. You are taught how to use kicking bags and other gym equipment. Then the instructors will work with you until you can continue practice on your own. During a session you are encouraged to keep active unless you are resting between a timed round. You can start your training on any day of the week there is no need to wait for a starting period.

Once you have mastered the basic Muay Thai techniques you can have the instructors take your further. You will first start with a training session that goes over the full range of techniques you have already learned through shadow boxing and using the Thai pads. This will allow the instructors to quickly and easily assess your current Muay Thai abilities.

Next your instructor will work with you to fix any faults. For some this may be a frustrating time since you might feel you are already at a good level. However, if you can't correctly do the basic Muay Thai techniques then you won't be able to advance to a high level. Each instructor will have different expectations of their students as well as different teaching and training methods. Within the first few training session you can expect most instructors to introduce new Muay Thai techniques. As you progress through Muay Thai training your trainers will place more emphasis on fitness and conditioning especially if you plan to compete. If you are at a Muay Thai Training Camp in Thailand then you can even arrange to have a fight in a local stadium if you are aiming to take up Muay Thai competition.
